About the Author

Dr. K. Ramesh is currently a Professor with the Department of Applied Mechanics, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He was formerly a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and was associated with that institute for over a decade. His areas of interests include computer applications in experimental mechanics, fracture mechanics and education
technology.
